2nd Winnersh

On Friday we went to Haa Hoo's in Twyford to do some pottery painting. We could choose from lots of different animals and paint them however we liked. We could paint a dog, a cat, a snail, a tortoise, a cat with a big head, a puppy and some other animals. I painted a puppy which I thought was very sweet. We could use any of the paints and there was even a 'bumpy' paint to use for eyes, collars and decoration. It was Brilliant! We all had a great time!

Today we made DELICIOUS fruit skewers and I was a one of the hostesses for the new Brownies! We also ate SCRUMPTIOUS chocolate cake as it was Abby Wiath’s mum’s birthday. My best bit was when I made my fruity fruit skewer!

On Friday half of the Brownies worked towards their disability awareness badge. We got into groups then got started.

First our group did a tasting activity. It was about tasting different crisps with different flavours, and guessing what they were. It was very hard !

Next we leant some sign language, and I now know my name off by heart.

After that we did a smelling activity, but it was quite tricky. We were asked to close our eyes and identify different smells. None of them were nice, but some were really yucky!

The last activity was a touch test. We    

had to be blindfolded while we passed an object around and guessed what it was.

Hello …. tonight we found out what we were doing this term including cooking and maybe another brownie holiday…tiring but good.
We also did some competitive games, really competitive.
Saw Abbie Taylors dog (so so cute) while doing a fire drill.
Ohh forgot to mention we saw teeny weenie baby!

On Saturday we had to wake up really early at  at 7:00 am I don’t like getting up that early. For breakfast we had croissants  I loved them. Our first activity was team building and for the other team it was zip wire. in team building we had to play lots of games, one of the games I liked was the spider web. We did team building for an hour and a half, when we had finished we went back to the barn and had a drink and a cookie. After we swapped around our group did zip wire and the other team did team building, I loved zip  wire I went 2nd Grace was very brave and went first. When we had all had 2 goes we went back for lunch . I loved lunch a nice ham roll, after lunch we did raft building and swimming. in raft building you have to make a raft and make sure it does not sink our raft did not sink and we won the race . Some of my team got in the water I was so cold. After raft building we got to do swimming the pool was too cold so I did not get in for that long , some of my friends stayed in and played lots of games when we got back to the barn we got to go and play in the park and then we came back for supper we had tacos . After supper we had a camp fire and sang some songs and when we got back we went to get our pjs on and came in to the hall and had some nice warm hot chocolate after that we had a 10 o’clock feast I lasted for like 10 mins still had fun time and that was our day

On Friday we all went off on a brownie trip to the New forest. At this brownie trip we all found out that are brownie theme was AROUND THE WORLD IN 48 HOURS. After a few minutes we all got told the house rules and the fire rule sand then we all unpacked are bags. We then all got told what groups we were in. There were the EXPLORES and the ADVENTURES, the ADVENTURES were Emily, Grace, Lily, Jamie, Millie and Frankie. The EXPLORERS were Abigail, Maisie, Riannon, Abi Wyeth, Laura and Tamara. Then we all had dinner which was pizza and salad, which was from Italy. Then after dinner we all made a lantern made from permanent makers and empty glass jars. Then we got on our PJ's and had some hot chocolate then five or so minutes later we all went to bed and stayed awake till about 2 in the morning!

The Brownies made mother’s day gifts. Do you know what we did? YES!

We made our mothers bath salts. Also we made paper flowers with tissue paper clearers.

To make the bath salts we mixed rose petals into the salts to make them smell splendid.

Each mother had a jar of salts to make the finishing touches we added the flowers we had made earlier.

Also it was Emu’s birthday, and we ate lovely CAKE and that was that.

On Friday 25th March at Brownies we went to the Look Out. We went in the science section and it was really cool because we had the whole place to ourselves!!!! We got to do anything we wanted and we even had a science demonstration. (Don't worry, it was fun!).We were also allowed to go up the tower (it was very high!). So it was a very good and successful trip and I really enjoyed it!!!

On the 12th of March our Brownie pack and lots of others were taking part in a swimming gala. We did lots of races and here are a few we did on our own:

FROUNT CRAWL
BREASTSTROKE and
BACK STROKE.

And these are the group ones:

WOOGLE ON YOUR HEAD
PUSH THE FLOAT THE ONE SIDE OF THE POOL AND BACK AGAIN,
WOOGLE RACE WITH A GUIDE LEADER ON TOP OF IT!

We all had a good time doing these races and at the end of all the races we had a little time to play in the pool and once we had finished we wished it had only just stared!

At Brownies we are working on our Science  badge and on Friday 10th we all did some science experiments!  
One of the experiments was to make the bottle of coke explode -  we added super mints to the coke bottle and it all  bubbled up and then me and Frankie squeezed it and we left a puddle of coke out side on the pavement.
One of the other experiments was  making green slimy goo and that was fun we had a bowl and we added some corn flour and water and just some food colouring and mixed it and there you have your goo so it is very easy to make!!!
We also made eggs disappear, singing bottles as well as having races with balloons.
I left a experiment out - a volcano there was a bottle and you added water, baking powder and vinegar together and it exploded so we did that out side it was very messy.
I enjoyed the messy experiments the most – which ones did you enjoy?
